I had it freeze on me the 2nd time I played Nintendo Land, but it hasn't since. What bothers me the most about it is that you have to manually unplug the system instead of just holding the power button for a few seconds.

Fully agree. I had Wii and PS3 lock up very rarely as well. Never an issue. On both of those I could hold the power button and it shut down. Why the WiiU is not idk, must be the type of hardlock, however, you'd think the system would have the power-button override.

No, but IGN did say that it started happening to them after the 11/18 update, so it's most likely a software issue.

mine is working perfectly (knocks on wood) with no feezing yet, not even during install. Jumping in and out of menus is a bit (2 or 3 seconds) slow though, but I can live with that.

I love My Wii U, and the potential it brings to gaming.

twice, NSMBU in the ice world and the forest.

Mine has. 3 times in a span of aboot 15 minutes while playing NintendoLand. Nothing has happened since.

Not yet and I have been playing it for long periods of time. (Thanksgiving break from college ftw)

My console continues to freeze on Netflix's load up screen. I guess I'll just have to sign up for Hulu plus

I had the system lose it's connection to the internet while I was doing that initial update. That scared the fuck out of me. Luckily, my fears were unfounded because the console just picked up right where it left off. That's probably the only technical issue I've had so far.
