I had the system lose it's connection to the internet while I was doing that initial update. That scared the fuck out of me. Luckily, my fears were unfounded because the console just picked up right where it left off. That's probably the only technical issue I've had so far.

Wii USB LAN Adapter is pure win for that kind of situation!

I had it freeze on me the 2nd time I played Nintendo Land, but it hasn't since. What bothers me the most about it is that you have to manually unplug the system instead of just holding the power button for a few seconds.

Fully agree. I had Wii and PS3 lock up very rarely as well. Never an issue. On both of those I could hold the power button and it shut down. Why the WiiU is not idk, must be the type of hardlock, however, you'd think the system would have the power-button override.

Haven't got a Wii U yet but my PS3 does it about once a month. It will freeze in a game or coming out of a game or after deleting something and I have to turn the power off using the switch in the back because none of the buttons do anything.

odd. My Wii did it like 4 times in the entire 5 years I owned it. My PS3 did it every few months. But in both cases all I needed to do was hold the power button for 10secs or something.

Never had it happen on the Wii. Just my PS3 and it's the system I'm on most of the time. :(

a couple of times when playing NSMBU, after the second update though all is well.

only in the begining like the first days , but now it's okay no freezing , only once while watching netflix

It has happened a couple of times during nintendoland. It has also frozen a few times in the miiverse.

Yes

Sonic All-Stars froze on me once, but it was no hard lock. I could jump to the OS np and reboot the game. No hard locks at all so far.

Ongoing bet with think-man: He wins if MH4 releases in any shape or form on PSV in 2013, I win if it doesn't.
