Forums - Gaming - Did you switched favorite gaming companies this gen?

I was mostly a Nintendo guy until I got my PS3 (even though I had a PS2) Sony gets more of my time and money now but there are still some things only Nintendo can do.

Almost went MS but I saw Sony as the better value and since I'm not that into shooters the 360 had less to offer me.

sort of, was eidos, now square-enix (they were 3rd or 4th last gen)... but w/o square-enix parts it would still be eidos,

However it would be very close with from software as well as atlus if you could count persona 3,4. but I don't and that's why they were my 2nd favorite last gen.

I welcomed all good indie game developers that came out this gen.

I was a on the line fan of both Nintendo and Sony last gen and was about the same this gen, but I became firmly a Nintendo fan when Nintendo replaced my #1 game which used to belong to a Sony game.

I like these companies more: Nintendo, Sony, Grasshopper Studios, Tell-Tail Games

I like these companies less: Capcom, Bethesda, Microsoft

don't waste time

My favorite developer is still Nintendo and probably always will be, but this is the first gen I've preferred a non Nintendo console, which is the 360

Well gameboy and ds used to be my handheld of choice then I kinda grew out of them as I got older ( only going back for the solid rpgs) moved onto the psp and now the vita. Still kept my original fat ds but is mostly use it now keep my little brother off my case from playing my ps3, he harasses me to play pixeljunk and modnation racers -_-

I had been drifting AWAY from gaming in the early 2000's, only playing strategy games on my PC more or less. Then I got my hands on the Wii.

Now I'm gaming more than I have since the early 90's, going back to Nintendo. Nintendo's really been my top developer this gen!

I'm on Twitter @DanneSandin!

Furthermore, I think VGChartz should add a "Like"-button.

Yes, it went from Bungie to 343i.

For the first time ever, I started off this gen with a non-Nintendo console after spending nearly every gen since the NES as Nintendo exclusive (I picked up a PS2 halfway through last gen). Been a Wii60 gamer since, although these days it's about 99.9999% for the 360.

Favorite developer/publisher? Now that's a tough one... again up until this gen it was Nintendo (with Rare taking their place from '94-'01), but now there's so many developers whose games I've enjoyed immensely like Bethesda and Take Two/Rockstar/2K, so I can't really chose just one, but basically what it comes down to is that it's no longer solely Nintendo.

You know I was always wondering why no one ever used the dollar sign for $ony, but then I realized they have no money so it would be pointless.

Dont know. Dont think I have a favourite.

Is this hardware developer or software developer?

If it's hardware, I branched out more than ever before this generation. Since 2008 I've collected every system I could get my hands on. Before that I played almost exclusively on Nintendo platforms. So I still have a lot of work to do to with my Sony, Sega, PC, and, to a lesser extent, Microsoft backlogs.

As far as software developers go, Nintendo EAD is still the best. Other than that, I definitely noticed the good work done by Valve this generation.
