Forums - Sony Discussion - IGN: Where Is the Call of Duty: Black Ops Declassified Review?

Not a single review for a COD game.... Curious.

Damage limitation seems the only explanation.

Seems to be the new approach by publishers now a days, we have had to wait up the day if release before we even see a review. The game was available last night in the USA on PSN.

To be honest, if I were Activision, I wouldn't send IGN a Vita game either with the way their Playstation team have been acting lately.

I wouldn't trust the user reviews either. I don't see how it's possibly to gauge how good a game is on the same day it comes out, especially something multiplayer-focused like CoD.

Regardless, it doesn't bode well, but lets wait and see some actual reviews before jumping to any assumptions. Anywhere in the region of a 70 metacritic I'd consider a triumph given the studio who made it.

That would be nice, but they can't do that, reviewers give them access to a huge audience that most publishers would not have access to because they don't invest in that access, so unfortunately they need the reviewers.

Now I don't feel bad my Vita guys didn't get our review copy yet.

I thought Activision was slighting us or something.

The rEVOLution is not being televised

This is the most "protected" game ever.

I think it's gonna get massacred, probably fairly, if you ask me. This is no way to treat the biggest IP in the world right now, imo. I really find it amazing the best material we have for this game is random 1 minute videos recorded by random people in bad quality.

It would be bad for a Harvest Moon game, let alone COD.

I thought that IGN mentioned not receiving the PS3 and Wii U review copies also.

I think, as with many others, they reviewed BLOPS II at a review event where only the Xbox version was avaliable, the assumption is that the PS3 version is next to identical to the 360 version

The Vita is a completely different game, where as the other ones are just ports

The PS3 thing is understandable; the WiiU thing most likely has no planned date (or they have a week for it anyway) due to the other titles there.

Most likely both versions will play almost identically and short reviews may be written up at a later date.

Here lies the dearly departed Nintendomination Thread.

Doesnt take long for the mindless sheep vita haters to appear. Game actually is looking better then anyone expected from user reviews so far.

Metacritic user reviews.... Awesome!

As expected, based on user scores the game is better than Halo 4. Goty confirmed?
