Forums - Nintendo Discussion - 3DS Play Time Thread

Wow, some of you really put in the hours. Impressed.

My list (bold are 3DS games, italic are apps, no format is other games (DS/ambassador/eShop), naturaly). This is the first thirty, which is half of what I have listed on the 3DS. The rest are apps I never use, demoes and most ambassador games.

  28. Face Raiders -- 00:50
  29. Mario Party DS -- 00:46
  30. Resident Evil Revelations DEMO -- 00:45
Notes;
  • Two of my 'real' games are overshadowed by apps or games for another system.
  • Apparently, I have spent over an hour in 'System Settings'. I don't know why.
  • There has been only one game of which I played a DEMO and then bought it; Resident Evil Revelations
  • I don't have anyone to swapnote with.
  • Some DS games I play on my DS and 3DS interchangeably.
  • The lowest two 3DS games will rise the chart rapidly, and will be joined by StarFox 64 3D very soon.
  • The number 1 game has more hours to it than all the other 3DS games combined.

Lot of Kid Icarus lovers so far! Did you guys play online a lot or was most of that single player play time (or how long does the single player experience last)?

OOH! I wanna post mine, too!

But not right now. I'm just tagging this thread so I don't forget it.

You can see why it is hard to beat me at Zen Pinball 3D considering I've put almost 30 hours into it already.

Mario 3D Land: probably like 10-12 hours
Mario Kart 7 - 3 hours
Kid Icarus - 1 hour
Ridge Racer 3D - 20 minutes

it's pretty pathetic, considering it's the only gaming system I have right now, if you don't include my laptop, which has a ton of games, most of which I have not played yet.

Been away for a bit, but sneaking back in.

Pretty impressive numbers there for the top games.  Looks like you thoroughly played the hell out of Kid Icarus.  I'll have to play it more but I can't really use the stylus since I suck with it in my right hand.  I started just using the xyba buttons to control the aim which isn't that bad but not as accurate (as someone using the stylus properly).  Hopefully, I'll get back into it in the next few months.

Yeah the controls do take a while to get used to but when you do get the hang of it the game becomes amazing. Have you tried the circle pad pro attachment? Apprently that's better for left handed people.

Nope I haven't yet. I really want to finish the game but the controls kind of put me off.  I just suck at holding the stylus in my right hand.  I do everything else with my right hand except write.  I should be able to do it but oh well.  I could manage through the game using the xyba buttons to aim but the circle pad pro would probably be the best option for me.  Was funny that I played the Medusa level where you fight the 3 bosses again and for some reason I thought I beat the game....  it was just a long level.

I'm left-handed and I find the stylus really uncomfortable.  But I've got no problem just using my right thumb directly on the touchscreen.  Obscuring the view doesn't seem like much of a problem, although sometimes I can't swipe fast enough with that joint.  A while back I think someone here mentioned that the thumb stylus that came with the DS phat works really great for this setup.
