What should I tell my sister to buy?

3DS XL 118 46.09%

Original 3DS 34 13.28%

Vita 64 25.00%

A tablet 3 1.17%

A smartphone (samsung most likely) 3 1.17%

American fast food 13 5.08%

Everything mentioned 10 3.91%

Nothing 10 3.91%

Total:255

Completely up to you. You like the look of the games? Read reviews and buy the system. If you have reservations, then don't. Personally I'd say yes, but that's because of the expansive library (Mario, Resident Evil, TotA, Rhythm games, ENTIRE DS catalogue, Zelda, eShop etc.), but it's down to you in the end...

Here lies the dearly departed Nintendomination Thread.

Wait till the Vita bundles come out, one with a game you want. You will enjoy Cross Buy/Platform/Play and be able to use the same account to take advantage of games that play on your PS3 as well. You can also figure out remote play and do Remote Controller.

Before the PS3 everyone was nice to me :(

Since you're a PS3 owner, you'll get a lot out of a Vita.

Yeah, a brick.

lol i jest, i am personally interested in getting one, despite all the mistakes Sony made with it because i love my PSP. But i am waiting for a substantial price cut before that happens, and confirmation of western releases for Ys 4 remake, tales of innocence R and PSO2.

If those come out in the west i should get one.

On the other hand, the 3DS is a must have. RE revelations is really good, KH3D is really good and luigi's mansion aswell as paper mario look very enjoyable. Add to that probably monster hunter releases (at least MH4) and SMT4, aswell as what else is coming its way given it has great support in japan.

Actually i recommend getting a PSP if u havent got one. It has a great library of games and everything is very cheap.

It seems like you'll get more out of the Vita.

I would say buy a Vita this fall. It'll have a good line up and It needs the support right now.

buy a 3DS when next fall where they'll probably be a new pokemon game and all of the japanese stuff that'll take a while to come to the west.

I'm sure most of you know who I am by now, but in case you don't, you should know that I am what you might call a Sony "fanboy". Now, I actually like many Nintendo games (I know, surprising!), but Sony+PC has always been more than enough for me. I recently got into iPod Touch gaming, but that isn't doing it for me for extended periods of time.

I got the PSP near its launch, and ultimately got burned. I only bought around 5 games for it, and didn't even finish them all. The Vita situation isn't looking very good at the moment, ....

Stopped reading there, bro.

But seriously, get a 3DS, just not INSTEAD of a Vita.  Get a vita first, THEN getthe 3DS.

My Console Library:

PS5, Switch, XSX

PS4, PS3, PS2, PS1, WiiU, Wii, GCN, N64 SNES, XBO, 360

3DS, DS, GBA, Vita, PSP, Android

well if Mario and Pokemon is all that do it for you go for it

but if your gonna want more out of your handheld, would be a waste of money

I generally just play my psp for all my handheld needs (Custom firmware :D)
I would suggest get a vita, there a lot of good titles coming up around the end of the year, but if your really into nintendo first party titles get a 3ds.

You should get it to when you criticize it, you get the facts straight rather than hearing from a friend of a friend's opinions. You shouldn't get it for the games, you should get it for the wins (arguments ).

Get an US exclusive Purple one, frame it and admire it for a month.

Who needs games when you have a purple 3DS, anyway?
