I don't know how to embed video, but F Zero GX looked darn good on the Gamecube as well.

30 racers on the track at once at breakneck speeds and 60fps with surprisingly sharp textures and some cool effects.

From youtube. you click on the share button, choose embed, select use old code in the choices then copy and paste everything in the box directly.

Well it's better than when I had a video of Shenmue 2 on Xbox listed under Dreamcast. It could be worse :P

I also had all four systems and without a doubt the Xbox was the most powerful. Doom 3 or Half life 2 could not have been done on the GameCube. Although I also agree that Rouge Squadron was one of the best looking games of that era. Compare the Splinter Cell series on the last gen systems and the Xbox versions were much better looking.

I think it was the 2nd most powerful but was not far off the xbox which i think was the most powerful.

Yeah, the XBox was the most powerful, outmuscling the Cube, which was noticably ahead of the PS2.

I think sixth gen had the systems with the most parity across hardware.

Oh man. Star Fox Adventures changed my entire view on graphics. And the fact that it was released so early on in the Gamecube's life is amazing.

Rare was indeed ahead of its time during its Nintendo-era.

I find it interesting that you mentioned Doom 3 ...

I remember an interview with John Carmack prior to the release of Doom 3 where he was claiming that he thought the Gamecube was better suited in many ways to run Doom 3 than the XBox; and when the interviewer asked him whether this meant there was going to be a Gamecube version his answer was simply "No". id didn't release a Gamecube version because of they had a fallout with Nintendo in the N64 days; and, while John Carmack had not desire to work with Nintendo at that time, he is far to honest of a person to make false claims about a system.
