Arc System Works has announced the next entry in the BlazBlue franchise, BlazBlue Chrono Phantasma. The arcade sequel features three new characters: Amane Nishiki, Bullet and Azrael. Other features include new and updated backgrounds, new and updated background music, and new skills for current characters.

View a first trailer below. Chrono Phantasma will hit arcades in Winter 2012 and will go on location test at Akihabara's Hey arcade from August 6 through August 12.

This is fantastic news. Its only confirmed for arcade but it will undoubtedly come to ps3/360 and maybe wii U/PC/vita. Can't wait to get bodied online all over again.

I really want them to make a BlazBlue RPG , the game's world is begging for it, if anyone followed the plot and backstory they might also agree.

I will buy it ... maybe not first day aka jp import, but someday ...

@PullusPardus I do agree the story could make a good rpg and who knows they made persona a fighter they could do the reverse.

@leatherhat I liked BB but the only one I ever played was the one on vita and never got that good at it. To many fighters out right now and I'm sure I'll try persona arena too

I thought they were going to do a crossover with Guilty Gear.  I thought there was an interview they gave saying they wanted to do this.  I'm probably wrong.

@Chad from what i've heard that are making a new Guilty Gear so I guess they just decided to make them separately

It makes more sense for them financially to do that.  I still think it would be cool if what I read was even true about the crossover.
