Ok, so its my birthday in a bit and I can only get one of these and I can't decide which one.

I should add, that FFX is my favourite Final Fantasy (by the guy who developed The Last Story???) and I don't mind 'linear' JRPGs at all. But Xenoblade has very good reviews...

Which one do you recommend?

You should add a poll, but 95% of people would say Xenoblade Chronicles, and I agree with them.

Xenoblade Chronicles, easily.

The Last Story is only 'good with some very good parts', Xenoblade Chronicles on the other hand is pretty much flawless is every respect
