Forums - General - Dear England, Please take US back!

I am making this post to celebrate the 4th of July.  Here are a few reasons why England is better than USA.

The British Pound is more valuable than our shitty dollar

Your multi-party system is far superior than our stupid two-party system

Your use of the English language is far superior (sound smarter (except people near the border of Scotland, I can't understand you guys...))

You kicked out most of your religious nuts to our country thus saving yourselves from the likes of the Puritans and the eventual evangelical Christians that were to come

"No taxation without representation" was the major cry for our split but it turns out that under USA rule about the same thing is happening.  Here is a good example of how well we spend our taxpayers money... In Texas they use taxpayer money to build a road then they turn it into a toll road (double taxation).  They then sell the toll road to a private company (usually foreign).

You are less hated around the world than us (usually most people are suffice to burn just the American flag)

You don't try and act like the world police force

I will list a few more later..  However, I believe that the USA would be a far better place if we were still under British rule.  Anyone else feel the same?

I agree. I wish the England never set you free. Oh, and I'm surprised that the USA isn't a member of the commonwealth...

In England the government basically is a 2 party system too. (labour & conservatives)

You are gonna get a sh*tstorm of backlash dude, lol. Although I love England, I'm also proud to be where I'm from.

True but it isn't a winner takes all system.

I stand corrected.

Decent amount of VGC members are from England so it can't be too bad.  If there was a Fox News forum (not sure if there is) and I posted this on there then I am sure I would get death threats.  Good old Fox News!  I'm sure the British love Rupert Murdoch  as much as our 50+ year old Republican population in the US.

From what I can see across the sea it is.

Although it isn't a 2 party system, the current Lib Dem coalition with the Conservatives has resulted in a huge public backlash from my Lib Dem supporters, quite a number of Lib Dem supporters where solely from university regions. With the Lib Dem's total U-turn on university fee's, expect the Lib Dem's to fall to about half their power next election.

Nice thread, but we gave up our Empire a long time ago :P

Actually England didn't set us free we fought them to become free. You can blame the french though without them we wouldn't have kicked the British ass's
