Don't steal other peoples ideas! Not sure who I can trust here....

Other people's ideas?

Trust me...  The horrible writing should be a give away that it's me.

Lol

Casino Royale was the first Bond movie that I watched in the movies...

Craig was ok for me... I didn't care if he was blonde or was too different of the Bond from the books... From what I remeber Blofeld wasn't bald in the novels and the only complaint about this character is that he was too different in Diamonds are Forever...

The feeling that I had after watching it was "It was better than any Brosnan's Bond movie". It had for me some sequences that i didnt like (The 'Le parkour' and the airport sequence) but it was great. But I don't compare this movie or Craig with the classic Bonds (I consider the sequence Dr. No-Licence to Kill the Classic Bond and Goldeneye-Skyfall the Modern Bond).
Comparing them is like comparing the King Kong of the 30's, with 70's and then with the latest one. Although the characters and situations are basically the same, the approach is different.

But in my ranking... this one stands in the 6th place.

I think Casino Royale could have been much better... perhaps if Brosnan was still cast as Bond...

Seriously though, I thought it was decent; definitely not one of my favorites, though.

Excellent review amp but shame on you for making me wait a whole day to read it. Thanks to you I got nothing done at work yesterday because I kept eagerly refreshing the forums to read your review.

I don't have the time now but within the next day I will share my thoughts on this marvelous movie and what Casino Royale means to me personally.

And you're damn right I would post in your book review threads. I plan on starting Thunderball tomorrow actually.

Sorry about making you wait.  Unfortunately, there was a massive hailstorm which caused me to lose power.  Honest!  Next week when the dog eats my homework please believe me.

I hope that you enjoy Thunderball.  I'm pretty sure that you told me that you're reading the novels in order, but I'd like to say that it's important to read the remaining Bonds in order or they won't make sense.  I guess that you could skip The Spy Who Loved Me to be honest, but that would make you lame.

It's missing a few quirks that you usually find in Bond films and ends up not feeling like a real Bond film, but it's so well filmed and written I honestly don't care. It's a masterpiece and easily one of my favourites.

Craig holding a sniper machine gun is sexy.

This is the best James Bond movie by far.

This film was brilliant. I enjoyed it more than arguably all of Brosnan's Bond films and I believe Craig silenced many naysayers. Then Quantum of Solace came out...

Nice review by the way, a lot of dedication reviewing all these films in such depth. I don't normally post in your threads but i've read them all.

Quantum of Solace was not that bad of a movie either, it just was an actual sequel to Casino Royale. Kind of strange for a Bond movie. There were still a lot of good scenes in the movie. Sadly a major character dies and there were a few "Why were these parts in here moments".

Still alltogether it was a very enjoyable flick. Casino Royale was much better, and Skyfall looks to be really good as well. Prediction: Last Judi Dench Bond Flick. Will they go back to a man in the next one?

Hopefully she gets fired after leaking the list of all of her agents (which winds up on Youtube).
