It says that "generally" does not mean everyone.

To be more precise, those who have been playing HD consoles are not impressed -- but then again, I don't think that is exclusively the target market. The people on message boards tend to be a lot of that group and thus reading them things may appear much worse than they did to the general public.

Mike, I just bought a PS3 last year, and I'm easily impressionable. To give you an example, I am not reading what they said to influence my opinion, I've been feeling like this ever since I saw the closing moment of the keynote.

The company is failing with 3rd parties. Did you see how Guillemot barely wanted to approach Reggy? He's scared of the guy. You get the same vibe from Michel Tremblay (from WB), and such other people who come on stage. Nintendo internally are still sick, they have alot to work to do to get back hand in hand with 3rd parties, but are far from the goal.

Just listen to the latest Iwata asks, a big circlejerk gong show.

The absence of COD:Black Ops 2 is weird.

Pikmin 3 (sequel to the best game ever) is being there at launch. That game alone forces me to get a wii u.
Than I got super mario bros wii u(terrible name) which will also be a fun game to get. I never like getting things at launch but this time I will be forced to. argh!

Tag:I'm not bias towards Nintendo. You just think that way (Admin note - it's "biased".  Not "bias")
(killeryoshis note - Who put that there ?)
Switch is 9th generation. Everyone else is playing on last gen systems! UPDATE: This is no longer true

Biggest pikmin fan on VGchartz I won from a voting poll
I am not a nerd. I am enthusiast.  EN-THU-SI-AST!
Do Not Click here or else I will call on the eye of shinning justice on you.

I will be buying the Wii U because I buy every competant console as each console gets some great games. I prefer to play the best games regardless of console they are on.

For the Wii U
Pikmin 3, ZombiU, Lego Undercover, Project P-100, and Mario U are reason enough already.

I need to learn more about Nintendo Land

I have two 3 year old daughters and they still play Wii Sports Resort and New Mario Bros Wii and can't really handle PS3 or X360 controllers. Their favorite game to date was watching while I played Zelda Skyward Sword. They were totally engrossed in the story to save the princess and really liked all the characters except the "white guy" (bad guy in the game).

There wasn't even any specs....

I'm officially not interested in any of the WiiU launch-window games. At all. I don't care much about 2D Mario, nor Pikmin, nor survival horror games, nor uber-casual things like sports, music, exercise or minigame compilations.

Rayman, Trine 2 and Scribblenauts were actually the ones that appealed to me most, but imo they're not even close to being system sellers.
If no appealing new games are announced, this might be the first Nintendo system I will not be getting during the launch period.

:'(

Well it could be stage fright. It could be the fact neither is a native-English speaker. It could be there is a history between Trembly and Guillemot (Trembly left Ubisoft Montreal to take over WB Interactive -- in Montreal).

Not saying you are not right -- those things are heavily scripted. Just saying there may be more there than meets the eye and you have to be careful reading body language.

I am Mario.

I like to jump around, and would lead a fairly serene and aimless existence if it weren't for my friends always getting into trouble. I love to help out, even when it puts me at risk. I seem to make friends with people who just can't stay out of trouble.

Okay. I was taking it as more evidence in what I thought (that Nintendo is struggling to court western 3rd parties), but I can accept this as a chellenge (to read body language).

The tablet gaming + TV gaming at the same time is a bad idea, because you need to watch the tv and the tablet in order to interact in an efficient way with the game; and would be a pain in the a$$ to look to the tablet, and then look to the TV, the tablet, TV, tablet-TV-tablet-TV-tablet-TV-tablet-TV-tablet-TV-tablet-TV over and over again in order to avoid getting killed while watching the other screen.

I bet this will be a major complain when the console releases. I bet most people will play only with the tablet, because that is the only way you can play without having to watch 2 screens at the same time.

WiiU = FAIL

Under that logic, the DS would have flopped.

Love and tolerate.
