I'm sure any talbet Sony makes would be shit to you.

Have you used it? If not, your opinion is irrelevant.

I've had a go with it yes... its a hideous piece of design, trust me.  Have you used it?  if not your opinion is irrelevant.

Why not comment on the topic at hand rather than just taking a paranoid dig at me....?

LOL and Kow your comment was on topic?

Was clearly just to slight a Sony product with nothing usefull brought to the topic.

Well I have a Sony Tablet S, and I think it is rather good. It has one or two issues, mainly wi-fi when the screen is off

ICS is not really that desperately needed, it will boost the speed, but it is still a very good tablet

As for Sony in general, they are getting better with their updates. The X10i took a while, but that was their first attempt, they have got much better since then (also, they updated the X10i to 2.3 unlike many phones from around that time). They are upgrading all their phones from last year to ICS and my XPERIA S will be updated in the next month

Slow Android updates affect every manufacturer, Google should give it to them earlier than it is announced to give a shorter delay between announcement and it hitting a variety of phones

It looks.... exotic....

Yay!!!

Lulz, it looks like some sort of mock-up for a DS successor, from back when the 3DS wasn't announced yet. x'D

That tablet looks TERRIBLE!! A simple iPad sytle tablet would be much more effective.

Not for everybody, major fail post.  Apple's marketshare was around 95% when the iPad first came out, now it is down to around 60% and is expected to fall more in the coming months to android's gain.

Yeah, not so much.

The iPad's market share is actually increasing. I doubt that will continue but given the iPad's price points, it shows just how miserably Google has done with Honeycomb. Android saw a spike in the last holiday season on the back of the 2.3-based Fire but that seems to have disappeared almost immediately. Google really needs to get developers on board with ICS. The Android tablet app market is literally a joke compared to the iPad-specific apps offered in the App Store.

Now that iPads start at $400, it will be harder for Google to gain traction. If Apple releases a smaller $250-300 iPad, watch out. It would take Google years to climb out of that hole. In the end, MS or Android will consume large portions of the market because they offer hardware flexibility that Apple will never offer. But the longer they sit around with their dicks in their hands, the more time it gives Cupertino to entrench themselves as the premiere tablet manufacturer.

Yah app,e has increased marketshare recently due to price but that's not a great strategy bc it will reduce orofit margin and reduce apple's image as a premium brand

lol. I agree. Every time I see that tablet, I cringe. It's so hideous and stupid looking. Not to mention, it fragments the pictures. I hope sony gets their act together. Don't want them to become irrelevant.
