Wait so adjustments? Are you telling me my data is off? Will I have to reenter the first 16 weeks then? I will adjust tonight. Looks like the adjustment was over 100k or something. Did adjustment affect 2011 data? If so i need to redo my graphs. |
Figures are adjusted all the time. It is fairly normal for the previous week to be adjusted when the new week comes in, older weeks also get adjusted often but it is usually only by small amounts except for when significant external data comes in (such as quarterly fiscal reports, or if the monthly NPD report shows a big enough discrepancy, or the rare occasions we get PAL region data from GfK or Chart-Track)
If you are wanting to keep up with this weekly I would suggest re-checking the prior 2 weeks data each time you enter new data... and once every quarter check the whole lot from scratch. (I believe you pulled figures from 2011 for the other platforms as well... if you pulled these recently they are unlikely to change much if at all now, but it might be worth checking the weeks around Christmas in a month or two just in case)
This kind of analysis will be so much easier when we get the graph tools back on the website, as then you can pull up a graph of the PSVita sales for the correct time period and just hover over each week to see if they are adjusted, instead of the current way which involves going through each weekly chart.
