Forums - General Discussion - I gotta fight a fat guy in a few hours. Goodbye. UPDATE: Never underestimate fat guys.

You oughta just talk to the kid and avoid fighting him because nothing good comes out of fighting even if you beat him up. There aren't any positives that come out of fighting someone. If the negatives far outweigh the positives DO NOT DO IT.

Sounds like you 2 don't want anything serious to happen..no point in risking it.

btw

I have been LMFAO reading these posts.

Don't fight him. Just be a man and talk it out.

How much weight are we talking about and what kind of lifts?

I don't know for certain, but I've seen him benchpress between 5-7 reps of 225 pounds.

That may be impressive but remember that technique is the most important aspect of a good strike, followed by your speed, then your muscle strength. As I said, practice your strikes to improve your technique and increase your speed. When I say practice, I mean throw the strike properly thousands of times in the coming days. Make sure your form is correct; having a trained fighter to instruct you is ideal but you may have to settle for online videos with such short notice. Be careful not to strain yourself beforehand. Again, good luck with the fight.

Don't wrestle him. You'll lose unless that is your profession.

Stick and move and repeat. He lunges at you, take a step back and pop in the nose/throat. IF he takes you into a head lock or similar, hit repeatedly in nuts... that takes the fight out of anyone.

If he goes down, don't stop, take the advantage and pound that head a few more times. You only quit when its apparent he's done.

Remember his eyes, throat, nuts are the best weak spots to take an advantage.

No nut shots. You have another idea for getting out of headlocks?

Why no nut shots? I thought you were in a fight? What'sthe purpose of the fight? To win or be civil? If its civil, then why even fight. I never understood people misconception to have a 'fair' fight. F that. The only fairness should be that its 1v1 and you are both ready to start... after that anything goes that won't kill someone.

I beat a guy who was solid muscle and much taller/larger than me many years ago. He threw a punch missed, he then grappled me and had me in a head lock. I pounded his balls many times.. guess what, he let go and I tossed him on the ground and beat his ass so bad his buddies had to drag him away. I never got hit. I won.

This isn't some pussy ass old-world dual... fight like a man and win.

This sounds pretty bad for you honestly.

a bench press is basically a double fisted punch. So he can probably hit you with 15-20 pounds of force with a medium jab.

How old are you anyways?

Hopefully, though, a benchpress and kinda fat means he imght only be doing "tough guy" excercises. It may actually be beneficial to simply leap into his arms, wrap your wegs around his chest, and elbow him in the top of the head repeatedly.

Your best chance is that he's a "tough guy" and doesn't stretch.

Stay low.. his only chance against you is grappeling you, staying out of a reach is a bad advice cause he'll always get into your reach no matter what. You get distracted, another kid, boobies, spit in you eyes etc.. so be prepared that he will get up close to you, his first few punches won't affect you because of your adrenaline.. (exept if he punches you just below the ribs punching your air out and right besides the ear)

now the big trick here is to get him tripping over, so you will have a 2 to 3 sec to deliver the final blow, don't be bother by hitting a guy while he's down.. only losers will complain about that. By staying low, your point of gravity is lower then his making the chance higher to use yourself as leverage to trip him (or a part of him) over you. use your shoulder, your leg, your back to trip him.. when he's down kick him a few times where it hurts... if he gets up repeat the process.. if he cries for his mommy.. you win some cool points..

ow an never NEVER underestimate the speed of a fat guy.. cause when you hear an icecream truck and go out.. the fat guy is always the first in line..

I kinda already knew deep down that it would be hard to keep my distance. what's the best method for getting him down. Going for the legs? The waist? Going for a sweep? Pull him towards me, get out the way and extend my leg in front of him?

Oh and I know he's slow. I've seen him run. I don't know if his punches are slow though. We'll see.

Funny or not I speak the truth. Technique is vital, followed by speed then strength. This is the foundation of a proper strike. One well placed, properly executed strike can defeat anybody. A 150 pound man could knock out Mike Tyson cold with a single elbow to the forehead. Hell, he could kill him actually.

You do not want to be getting punched, either stay out of range, or get so close in that he can't punch you anywhere spectacular.

big weight difference. 100lb is a lot in fighting. your punches will not be very significant to his body since he weighs alot more than you. what i recommend is you need to kick, not punch. go for his legs and do leg kicks. kick his leg and pull out, and do that multiple times to make him feel pain on his legs. you should not go f or his body. dont hit his neck or face, unless it is really necessary since he can counter you because arms are shorter than legs. you should watch out for a take down. he can charge you hard and slam you on the ground and god know what he will do. he can kick your face or throw punches here and there and you are done due to the size difference. street fight can be very different from UFC. use your elbow too if you can.
