You oughta just talk to the kid and avoid fighting him because nothing good comes out of fighting even if you beat him up. There aren't any positives that come out of fighting someone. If the negatives far outweigh the positives DO NOT DO IT.
Sounds like you 2 don't want anything serious to happen..no point in risking it.
