Finally today I tried the Vita! I played a racing game, quite simple and funny, although I prefer proper racing sims, but those are impossible with a portable, without wheel and pedals. I agree with d21lewis about the sticks being too loose and little, but hey, how hugely improved is their position compared to PSP, I felt much more at my ease and never got the impression that playing longer I would have got hand cramps like the first PSP-1000 I tried gave to me.
The screen is excellent, the back touchpad looks responsive, the shoulder buttons are good the other buttons and the d-pad small but usable, the User Interface of the desktop is easy, the one of the game I tried not as much and it will require reading the manual.
To sum it up, a HUGE improvement compared to PSP, and many other people looked interested (at one point a mom was trying it and refused to cede her place to her daughter! ), the only things really stopping sales could be price and the games library still small, it's good for a launch, but those that aren't early adopters will wait for more and possibly a little discount and a memory card thrown in.
