The yen price is wrong, definitely..

Wii launched at 25,000Y and they need the yen profit to make up for weak dollar/euro. Nintendo nearly always has the yen to dollar price in a in a *100 scenario. So if WiiU is $300, then it will be 30,000Y.

Example, 3DS launched at $250/25,000Y now its $170/15,000Y. If they do similar to 3DS pricing, then I think at best we'll see a 25,000Y launch. Definitely no where near 20,000Y if its $300 in US.

Theyr is no way this thing will be sold w/o a tablet controler. This is THE thing that nintendo is betting on to be apart from other consoles.

I think this is the best price possible. Any higher and it might not sell asmuch in the US with everyone jumping into the Kinect bandwagon. And if it was lower it would scare gamers that would start wondering if that thing is even powerfull enough to be next gen.

I hope they include a Wiimote and Nunchuk with each system, otherwise the Wii spirit will die completely. Third party developers won't necessarily support controllers that not every Wii U owner is guaranteed to have, this goes especially for singleplayer games.

That would be a great price. Maybe the reason it's so low is the lack of bundled software this time around?

Ahh that is true. Then it will switch to WiiU vs. NextBox and PS4. I wonder if the head start (assuming $299 is real and competition launches at higher price) will help Nintendo pull off 1st place again...
