At the Pokémon U.S. National Championships in Indiana this past weekend, over 2000 participants threw down in matches of both the videogame and trading card game variety. Once the dust settled, four videogame players and eight TCG players from each of the three divisions emerged as finalists who will represent America at the World Championships in Hawaii come August.

Wanna know the cool part? The Pokémon Company has announced that it will select several World Championships participants to be digitized along with their Pokémon teams into Pokémon Black / White Version 2. They will then be distributed via Wi-Fi, after which anybody can play against them in B&W2's Pokémon World Tournament battle arena.

Getting yourself inserted into a videogame is the dream of anyone who's ever picked up a controller, and it's just so amazing to know that the dream will become reality for a few lucky players. For more details on the upcoming event as well as a list of the US Nationals winners, check out the official Pokémon page.

Pokédex 3D Pro - Promotional Video

A promotional video has been posted on the official site showing the various features of the upcoming game, Pokédex 3D Pro. The majority of these features have been shown and are similar to the ones in the original Pokédex 3D, but it does show numerous other features. First, it confirms that all forms are in the game, including the various forms of Arceus bringing the total visible Pokémon up to 727. It also clarifies the Pokémon Challenge mode and confirms it as a quiz where you are given numerous questions about random Pokémon and have to test your skills. Finally, it tracks when you have taken a picture of the Pokémon using the AR Viewer, and if stored on the SD card, gives you easy access to view those photos. We'll cover this game in full upon its release next weekend

Has anyone been able to buy and play Black and White 2 yet? What about those guys we have in Japan? Manuel?

I got my imported copy a few days ago :3 The game is utterly brilliant o.o I haven't had much time, so I'm only up to Tachiwaki City, but so far I'd put it up as my equal favourite Pokemon Game, with Ruby/Sapphire.

I guess the real question is whether it is worth the purchase, and how good is it compared to the first one?

It's definitely worth the purchase. With all of the new areas added and the huge new Pokedex, it feels like a whole new region, definitely better than the original. I liked how B/W made you use the new Pokemon to get used to them, but bringing back old ones was a great move.
