Forums - Sony Discussion - Will the next Sony controller be another boomerang?

I want the boomerang controller, thought it was epic when I first saw in like '06 or what ever.

They could change the design a bit but I think they should keep it roughly the same size. There are some that would like it bigger but clearly they're only thinking about themselves and not a vast majority of gamers.....kids. My niece cant play with her dad on his 360 cause the controller's too big for her but she comes and plays on my PS3 n Wii. Dont even get me started with the original Xbox controller lol XD

No, you just got the facts wrong, studies show (that I will not bother looking) that the vast majority of gamers are 35 plus. Quite a bit older than myself. The industry has been around long enough that most gamers are adults hence why mature rated games are more popular. If your going to think about the children they just need multiple sizes. Might be a good business idea as families would buy more controllers.

I highly doubt it, there are tree possibilities for Sony next gen.

1) Move+ as the only control option
2) Move+ as default, with DS3 supported, as the Wii supported GC and classic controllers
3) Move+ and DS4 both bundled with the console.

So as you can see, there are three options, and only one calls upon Sony to create another conventional controller. Even if option 3 is picked, then I highly doubt they will go for anything too different - they will push move as the new and exciting option and the DS3/4 as the traditional method.

lol. Good ol' badgegnome picking on the psp. Whale played. :)

Fix the effing L2, R2 buttons, so aren't so mediocre. Maybe contour it a bit.

You forgot the most probable option:

4)DS4 as default, with Move+ as a additional option.

I did not forget that option, I figure it to be so unlikely as to not be worth mentioning. Sorry.

Slightly bigger dualshock3 with the "break-apart" design and move integration.

Or what badgenome said.

4 ≈ One

If they leave it the same I'll do the same thing as this generation, buy a third party controller to make it more like the 360's.  All I want is triggers and the thumbstick swapped
