It will release later this year.. at least the the rumor of a Monster Hunter for Vita arround mid of this year were true... so CRAPcom wouldn´t release two games of the same franchise so close...

There were no shortages. I went to a  whole lot of stores in the past weeks and not a single one was sold out. Every store had both Vita versions in stock.

Well some other people who live in Japan reported that the Wi-fI model was sold out in all the stores they visited (one mentioned 5), but they all said that there were plenty of 3g models.

Not really a surprise, currently the most expensive console.
Expensive memory cards and expensive games.
Everything about this device is expensive.

I blame bad stock management. :P

Maybe that was in the first 2 days, but later on there shouldn't be many out-of-stock problems.

While I agree that the memory cards are expensive, the prices aren't outrageous compared to other cards.

If you go to big electronics stores (Yamada Denki and such) you'll probably pay up to 5000 Yen for famous brand 16GB SD cards. I checked yesterday, and 16GB Panasonic cards cost 4980 Yen. In this light Sony's prices seem just right. They're a high-profile manufacturer, too. (At amazon that card costs over 5000 Yen now: look)

Of course I buy only Transcend cards and they're like 1700 Yen for 16GB. :P

I'm here to point and laugh at FF XIII-2 sales.

Great 3DS and PS3 numbers.. horrible for Wii and Vita (especially since this week usually Sony consoles don't drop)
