I voted for Mario Kart Wii. Here is my ranking of all the games I played:
1. Mario Kart Wii - This game has a ton of content. A bunch of retro tracks, new tracks, tons of characters, and lots of kart options. I love the addition of bikes and the online portion of the game too. I only play this with the Wii Wheel, and it really adds a lot to the experience for me. Most importantly, the racing just feels right. The controls are just right.
2. Diddy Kong Racing - This isn't a Mario Kart game you say? I don't care. It is still one of the best kart racers ever made. Karts, plus planes, plus a hovercraft? Yes, please! What an awesome game. The two different battle modes were a lot of fun too.
3. Super Mario Kart - The racing was good, but I probably spent more time with the battle mode.
4. Mario Kart 64 - Overshadowed by Diddy Kong Racing.
5. Mario Kart Double Dash - Worst of the series. I even liked the two racers to a kart mechanic. My biggest problem with the game were the controls. It just felt sloppy no matter what kart or characters I used.
