Some publicity and trafic for my sister, lol.
On topic, it really depends on the type of game you play. If you arent interested in Nintendo exclusives I would say go with the Vita. That being said, its possible Nintendo will get more third party support then Sony. I guess you should wait a bit and see whats going on. But keep in mind that Vita will get tons of indie stuff, apps and virtual media while 3DS has 3D.
I would suggest waiting for hardware revisions of both. Reasoning:
3DS with second analog is inevitable, and while it does finally have a handful of great games, waiting can only give you even more selection and at a lower price.
Vita pricing is insane. $250 for just the system plus $30 for a 4GB memory card (which you're REQUIRED to have to play Uncharted and many other major games). There's no onboard storage for the device, so buying games digitally is a bust, unless you want to pay another $120 for a 32GB card, and even that will fill up fast. Also a large portion of the launch titles are ports. A revision will hopefully cost less, have onboard storage, more than 3 hours of battery life, and be lighter and thinner.
New IPs = PSVita
Nintendo Games = 3DS
Me = Getting both = Never going to get laid.
.
Maybe it would help if you told us what types of games you like?
3DS is my favorite console of all time bro and I've been gaming since NES days.
waiting for Vita means double the wait...
don't mind my username, that was more than 10 years ago, I'm a different person now, amazing how people change ^_^

They will never release a 3DS with second analogue.

true, by the time Vita releases i bet he can have enough money saved to get it while getting a 3DS now, unless OP doesn't work or jobless.
