Sure, they've taken it too far on the PS2, throwing in so many Cars already. (And going back to a smaller ammount after advertising their games with 'look at how many Cars there are.. !', it could turn out to be bad publicity.) 

But since they have their first real PS3 Game out now, they can simply reuse what they've did,  and refine it a bit. (and give every Car Cockpit view) - which may spare them a lot of time. So yeah, not throwing in another GT on PS3 would be stupid in the end, since they can skip Engine Works, a huge ammount of texturing, etc.

Weren't there only 200 premium cars in GT5 out of 1,000 cars? Originally all cars were planned to look awesome, so in a way PD already did cut 80 % of the game's content and it still didn't release faster than it did.

becasue 100% of the content was the cars.......riiiiight

It's cool to have a couple variations of cars but I don't need 40 skylines. All we need is the R32, R33 and R34 plus maybe a couple racing versions.

- More car customization such as paint jobs, rims, body kits, spoilers, and maybe some random stuff like neon, tinted windows, etc.

- A better buying/selling system for cars. Every car in the game should be available for sale in the dealership, don't have cars that are win only, or you have to wait forever and hope they pop up in the used car dealership. And when it comes to selling cars you should get a fair price for your cars (depending on milage, damage, etc) and every car should be sellable. I hated in GT5 how some cars you can't sell, all you can do is remove them from garage.

I agree whole hearted with the bold. 3 Mustangs, and 40 Skylines (may actually be more) is inexcusable.

I also want more premium cars, 200 is nothing, and constant FPS at 60, no more dips to sub 30 FPS.

I also want Sony to make a damn wheel! Although the logitek one is awesome.

maybe liscensing issues gets in the way? i dunno.

As long as its on PS4 I am happy. PS3 got no software help from known titles for almost 3 years. Sony has to do something different with PS4. GT is a great system seller, and I think it would seller better if it came out close to launch to play off that excitement.

This matches up with the rumor a few weeks back that Sony is working on PS4 projects. It's tricky for both MS and Sony cause they both want enough gas left in the tank (punt not intended) to finish off this gen strong, but at the same time they both want there strong franchises out early in the next gen to push hw for the edge. With rumors of a new Forza, and Gears for the next Xbox, it would make sense to have GT6 as a launch title for PS4 to match up with Forza.
