Can Disney beat Universal's record 2015 domestic gross - $2.445 billion?

It will fall short of tha... 4 13.33%

Finding Dory, Doctor Stra... 20 66.67%

It's going to be very cl... 6 20.00%

TDKR = $160,887,295
Just slightly above TDK. I'm expecting great legs.

Not bad third highest domestic opening of all time.  Without the tragedy in Colorado it would easily been the second highest ever.  I also expect great legs a lot of people that didn't see it during the opening weekend due to the event in Colorado will see it in weeks to come.

Ice Age 4 is still doing great overseas now at $440 million. I up my total for overseas back to $600+ now.

Hope the Dark Knight Rises has great legs, shooting scared a lot of people. Without the shooting and if the TV spots weren't cancelled Dark Knight Rises could have had a take on the Avengers. Still I'm predicting legs better than the Dark Knight and should hopefully make at least 550-600 million domestic. Although I'm not sure how well it'll do overseas...

epic sunday hold...should mean it has good legs.

The weekend comes in 6th on the adjusted scale.

This is the highest 2D OW...which means the Bat franchie has beaten the 2D OW records 5 times...5 TIMES.

All hail the KING, Andrespetmonkey

It's a barely in front of THG OW. The gap would have been 20m+ wider without the shooting of course but also show how massive THG was and really, who would have ever in 8 billion years guess they'd open within $10m of each other and similar attendance figures? Astronomical feat for THG, achieved fairly or not.

I once again find THG the most surprising box office run of the year Domestic anyway.

It off to a slow start it only made $88 million so far but it will not be released in all markets untill August the 29th.  Its still doing a lot better then Disney/Pixars Brave which only managed to make $70.5 million so far.

The only two movies that really stand out when it comes to overseas numbers so far this year are The Avengers which made $844.6 million so far and Ice Age 4 which made $440.5 so far (the series has a excellent track record overseas though since Ice Age 3 is the highest grossing animated movie overseas with $690.1 million).  As for the domestic box offfice I think the most suprising hit so far has to be Magic Mike it already made over $100 million dollars on a 7 million dollar production budget.

Should have legs. People will go after this week calms down.
