i only sold it because at the time there wasnt that many games i was so excited for i would pay full price for. only Uncharted! (i did want Modnation & Wipeout but not enough to pay full for) 

depending on whats going on with PS4 and its release date and how much the Vita is by Christmas.. il buy another then!

i have a question about the vita, maybe anyone here can help me with this?

can i establish a WIFI connection between the Vita and the PS3 that will give me access to the internet and online play? or in other words: can i use the PS3 as wifi hotspot for the Vita around the house?

your ISP didnt provide you with a wifi router? thats weird, its standard here. everyone i know has wifi connection at home.

you connect the vita wtih your wifi Router. it gives you access to the internet. the router is also connected to your ps3 probably by wire. the router is the central device that connects all other devices with internet (wireless and with wires), not the ps3

i am aware what a wifi router is,and how it works. i simply do not want to use one and unfortunately it seems it doesn't work the other way,

if you have a smartphone you could try using it as a mobile hotspot, depending on what speed and limitation your phone has it could work but its stupid to use if you have a router. if you have a pc with a ethernet card and a wifi card you could turn it into an access point, but if you already have a router why not use it instead because it is basically the same
