Haha.  I was literally talking to someone on GAF about this yesterday, in the Koei-Tecmo financials thread.  Ar no Surge wasn't mentioned at all, so the presumption is that it bombed in the west (and we already know it bombed in Japan), and there was a tweet from Koei Tecmo Europe about us getting the Vita version if the PS3 version sold well enough.  So...

Won't be physical though.  If Atelier, which has a niche but dedicated fanbase in the west, can't get physical on Vita - this definitely won't.  Sales numbers will be even lower.

Anyway, I'm glad they backtracked on that.  I bought it on PS3 (to support Gust, because they're one of my favourite developers) - played about 4 hours and then quit in hopes we'd get the Vita version.  Like with Atelier, this is a game I feel is much better suited to a handheld.

One thing I will say though is that I found the plot confusing without having played Ciel no Surge.  I'm planning on reading one of the plot summaries online before I "dive into" (tehe) Ar no Surge Plus.

Here's a cool song from Operation Babel, which released recently in Japan, to get you hyped for Operation Abyss, which releases soon in the west :P

I will say, it's kinda frustrating about the late ports because I'll double dip. At the same time, I'm not sure these companies would stay afloat without their fans double dipping.

"We'll toss the dice however they fall,
And snuggle the girls be they short or tall,
Then follow young Mat whenever he calls,
To dance with Jak o' the Shadows."

Ar nosurge is confusing at the beginning to people who played Ciel nosurge too. But there's a lot of explanation that happens later, especially if your PSN account has no Ciel nosurge data uploaded. Ar and Ciel work together like that.

The game is pretty much a must play for Ar tonelico fans, especially the later parts.

What about SAO? I thought Bamco was really satisfied with sales and promised a physical relase, was this real or am I bluffing ?

But above all, GR2 for the Vita would really show that Sony still retains some hope. Along with Digimon, I need me some Digimon ASAP!

GR2, Digimon, GE2 and some others would actually make for a very good E3 showing without having to invest too much in.

Gravity Rush 2
Digimon Cyber Sleuth
God Eater 2: Rage Burst
Tales of Innocence R
Sword Art Online Lost Song
Phantasy Star Nova

Sony should just announce this 6 games coming to PS Vita (all as retail) and it would be a very good E3 for PS Vita imo.

They could announce one of those games coming to PS Vita and it would be a very good E3 for the console -_-

I think the most possible game to release in the west is God Eater 2: Rage Burst. Hope to see at least this...

Ar no Surge Plus coming in July.

Woot!!

As for E3 I expect Sony to mention the vita at least 2 times with a total of less then 30 seconds dedicated to the handheld.

Bet with gooch_destroyer, he wins if FFX and FFX-2 will be at $40 each for the vita. I win if it dont
