Forums - Sony Discussion - inFamous 2 New Videos: Karma can be a bitch! No really

M.U.G.E.N., thanks for posting these. Watched them both like 2 or 3 times. Got me giddy like a school girl. Loved inFAMOUS 1, one of my favorite games of all time. The gameplay is just fantastic; and it looks like they're stepping the gameplay up majorly in I2. I just really, really hope that they provide an additional gameplay mode (preferrably with objectives involved) that generates enemies so you can practice (or just plain have fun) with your powers . I made a thread about this a lil while back. The gameplay mode could load in the current powers you've unlocked. Then, as a bonus, after you beat the game on both good and evil, you can mix and match your good and evil powers in the gameplay mode.

Anyways, games looking excellent.

Side note: am I missing  something regarding the change in the enemy type? In the first game the enemies were human (besides that crazy mutated boss chick - although she was still part human), but now it seems like the primary enemy in inFAMOUS 2 are those monster creatures. Where'd they come from?

You can get info like this in the official infamous 2 thread (click my sig). Either way though, part of the town lives in a mutated swamp, and it looks like many of the inhabitants have been infected by it. The monsters further my explanation that Sasha infencted the swamp with her Tar.

DAYUM That GIF alone just changed my whole view on inFamous 2!

And MUGEN make sure you dont put in swear words in the Thread Title!

You made this comment to start a flame war didn't you? Well I won't give in because if you really meant what you said then you haven't played the first infamous.

Amazing Stuff!

THIS was the "holy shit" moment when i watched the video

“It appeared that there had even been demonstrations to thank Big Brother for raising the chocolate ration to twenty grams a week. And only yesterday, he reflected, it had been announced that the ration was to be reduced to twenty grams a week. Was it possible that they could swallow that, after only twenty-four hours? Yes, they swallowed it.”

Wow, I'm impressed. The game has great graphics/physics/effects and it's all open-world. From a purely visual perspective it's amazing, but then I know from Infamous 1 that the gameplay will also be very intuitive and smooth.

Possibly my most hyped game of this year. I hope the story will be interesting, choosing different alliances for missions sounds like even more replay value!

Pretty good, but it doesn't seem to have (many) noticeable improvements over the first one .

LOLWUT!?

U mad

According to this world where Call of duty sells more than 9M first week , yes I'm , it's my opinion btw :)

What? It seems like they've made a bunch of improvements and additions, although you're entitled to your opinion. But I don't understand the CoD sales comment. Sales don't necessarily directly correlate with the amount of changes that have been made in the CoD series or any sequel (although yeah there do have to be some additions). CoD is a highly established franchise with a massive fanbase that will jump on the train for any new game made by them. And if anything, I heard countless people rant about how Modern Warfare 2 felt more like Modern Warfare 1.5. So you'd expect ppl to find the next installment not worth the purchase; yet, Black Ops has sold significantly more -or at least more rapidly - than MW2 bc ppl like the general gameplay the game provides.

seeing this moment in the video made me go "Holy Shit!!".  lovin' it.

NOW, RIGHT NOW!! Someone, find me a gif, wherever you find it, of Cole getting on that car and making it flying, then throwing it at the enemy. NOW!

Edit: LOL at the post above me, TY!!!

He does get his red lighting when hes evil right? Along with the gritty dark physical appearance?
