too bad the game wasn't for you, I found the game good, at first I was skeptic just by the looks of the gameplay video etc  then I heared ppl giving some positive feed back and decided to try it turned out well for me!

Hey, guys, now that I've got all of you Yakuza 3 devoteers together...

I tried the demo out and I couldn't finish it. I found it very very sloppy. Actually, I couldn't force me to finish that fight inside the bar against an old man and his minions. I don't feel good about this, actually, cause I've heard this game is so good that I was planning on buying it. I mean, it's always good news to know there are awesome games out there waiting for you.

So, what I wanted to ask is what makes this game special? Is it just its story? Gameplay didn't seem to be such a big deal. Is it any different from a GTA IV (regardless of the fact of all the japanese elements)?

The general idea is that you have to use your surroundings to win etc my personal fav is when i surrounded pic up a bike AND SMASH EM!!!!! The story is supposed to engage you yes, though not in the demo. Its not like GTA4 when you have  insanely massive city, its a fairly small open world but there is alooooot to do. We are talking ALOTTT!!!!

I didn't like the demo all that much but after buying and finishing the game... Oh Boy!

one of the best games of the year and considered among one of my favorite games this gen.

I played the demo and didn't like it. I also played Yakuza 1... And I didn't like that either. story was good though. But Yakuza 3... never bought for those reasons.


The demo shows the fighting mechanic , and doesn't show anything at all , besides the first game wasn't very good either, it was very linear (only at the end you get to get great mini games), though had an excellent story , but this one is great.
