Just finished building my clock tower. I consider it one of my favourite designs ever, mostly because it's practically 100% original, and very unique.

I was inspired to build it when I saw this one on the MC forums:


So I began researching other clock towers to get proper ideas for the design. I based pieces of the design off of these three real-life clock towers:






And with all of that said, here is the finished work:

As for the name, I like Nibiru, but the direction I think we should go with this server is something a little more unique. Something made-up. It could be based on something real, formed from real words, but I feel like it'd be better if we give it a name more fictitious and unique. That way, it almost certainly wouldn't be something already used by another server, y'know?

I dunno, those don't seem to sound right to me, but they're really just there as concepts and less as suggestions.

I'm behind Rhodinia because it's a reference to Rhodes, the island in the Aegean Sea that is famous for the Colossus of Rhodes, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. It is similarly descriptive of our world, in that our land is full of wonders, itself.

We could call it "Land of Milk But Not Honey" ... "Honey" for short.

If demand is high enough for me to return to doing the cropped releases, I will, but I'm not going to go as in-depth as I used to. It'll probably just be a cropped version of the full releases and nothing too special.

we moved today form 32 bit java to 64(i thought we were already on it) seems the install i did for 64 bit java just installed a second 32 bit due to me using a 32 bit web browser and being over ridden on my download by the sun website, I should have checked over the install sooner pain in the ass downloads and all in windows (never had this issue on my mac :p ), now the server does actually have access to the 6gb of ram i allocated for it, vs the 1 gb 32java could handle . should see improvement again in handling when large numbers of people are on the server.

i noted today also that the download of the maps have been an issue for some web browsers/ windows set ups that want to display them and not download them so we will be moving to .zip for map downloads starting this week.

VGChartz user ranks. We're working to change them yet again. This time looks to have the most potential, but first I want to request that everybody include Deku Scrub in their low-level rankings if they submit something. Right now, the rankings are heavily weighted towards "realistic HD hardcore" titles and not enough towards the more colorful variety. It needs some Zelda bad.

I just bought Minecraft the other day so I'm still pretty new to it. I've seen some cool "let's play" videos so I had the basics of surviving the first few days down pat.

Do you guys do more survival or just more creative building creations?
