I would say that it does represent a bigger step than the Wii, I'm just not entirely sure it's the right step. I'm curious to see what issues/problems arise (if any) once it's released.
Bah!

I was playing Archery on PS3 and I could easily see it on the Wii (Which it is), but I can't even picture it on Kinect.
I see you could hold your arms like a bow and pull an arrow back, but since Kinect can't register finger movements, how would it know you release it? I can see how it can determine where you aim, but not how you hold the arrow and ultimately release it.
Kinect for me has too many question marks and I view it as a big step backwards.
Edit - Can Kinect easily detect you going from a closed fist to an open hand?
iPhone = Great gaming device. Don't agree? Who cares, because you're wrong.
Currently playing:
Final Fantasy VI (iOS), Final Fantasy: Record Keeper (iOS) & Dragon Quest V (iOS)

"kthxbai"? Really? I wouldn't go with the word 'imitation' to describe Sports Champions...I would call it Improvement...But of course, this is personal opinion...I would even go so far as to say that I have Never played a Wii game that had Motion Controls as it's primary form of control that worked well...In My Opinion Edit: If You can give me one game that works as well as, and you can get a similar experience to "Start The Party" (Which works really well as long as your camera is where it says you should put it) on Wii...Then we'll talk more on the subject, otherwise, you can keep calling it a copy or an "imitation" without good grounds |
Are you talking about this brilliant game, which I refer as shovelware for its meta score?

Oh boy if you want games that challenge that, its gonna be a hard debate.

It has a low metacritic score because it's a Party game...Start The Party...and doesn't really have a single player component...That doesn't mean it's a bad game, boy'o
Just waiting for that PS Vita to come out so I can play some full featured games on the go with that beautiful screen and control scheme...

I never said Sony released their motion controller before Nintendo, i said they started working on it on about the sime time nintendo started working on thier motion controller. Which means they already had an idea of motion controller and had plans to release it. Just because nintendo relesed it first doesnt mean they got the idea first. And since Sony already worked on their motion controller for awhile now, theiy released thier motion controller that THEY HAVE BEEN WORKING ON SINCE 2001, the same time Nintendo started working on their MC. Why dont YOU read my post before ranting like a lunatic????

Actually to be more precise they released their motion control concept plus added Nintendo's motion control concept (gyroscope, accelerometers etc) 5 years after Nintendo released theirs. Sony only had camera tracking as motion control during that time!!!
plus just looke at how they look...blatant and shamless imitation!!! IF Sony ever acknowledged it maybe many ppl would not have the beef they have now.
