This would be a dream come true if RE5 was ever released fo the Wii. It has been hinted that it might be in development and there have been petitions with many signatures that show our interest. Now with being able to play it with the Playstation Move, one can't help but think about a Wii version. Resident Evil 4 was great on the Wii and I think Resident Evil 5 would be great too.

I think it's too late to release now.  It's past its prime and would have to be a really good port if it wants to sell well.  Using the RE 4 engine and totally remaking 5 would be a good idea and would make be buy it again, but if it happens, a half-ass port would most likely be what we get.  I don't think it's gonna happen.

With Capcom's recent declaration of moar RE, i wouldn't say no, though before that i would have.

I hope not. It would sell really bad as it would be a late port( and other reasons). It would just give capcom an excuse to not bring a real resident evil game to the wii again. I would like Resident evil 6 though :)

Highly unlikely. I think a Wii port of RE5 would be far more like it HD counter parts that Chop TIl You Drop though.

Since enemy count is not as big a thing in that game.

I hope that the MT engine on the Wii will make it happen. I'm not buying anything from Capcom until they either put this game on the Wii (it's the principle more than I even want to play it), or do something big for the Wii to make up for it.

There will be an ultimate version of RE5 released on Wii2. With Sheva replaced by Samus.
