http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ON4N0yGz4n8

This demo won 1st place at the Breakpoint 2010 party. This demo is simply mind blowing! This group did a demo consisting completely of particles. Not a single polygon is in this just particles and millions of them.

There hasnt been anything as beautiful as this on a system for years i recommend everyone to sit back and watch in awe

it really is for PC only and high end at that. 25fps on a  GTX260 which translates to .5fps on a 360 or PS3

PC gamers rejoice!

"...the best way to prepare [to be a programmer] is to write programs, and to study great programs that other people have written. In my case, I went to the garbage cans at the Computer Science Center and fished out listings of their operating system." - Bill Gates (Microsoft Corporation)

"Hey, Steve, just because you broke into Xerox's house before I did and took the TV doesn't mean I can't go in later and take the stereo." - Bill Gates (Microsoft Corporation)

Bill Gates had Mac prototypes to work from, and he was known to be obsessed with trying to make Windows as good as SAND (Steve's Amazing New Device), as a Microsoft exec named it. It was the Mac that Microsoft took for its blueprint on how to make a GUI.

""Windows [n.] - A thirty-two bit extension and GUI shell to a sixteen bit patch to an eight bit operating system originally coded for a four bit microprocessor and sold by a two-bit company that can't stand one bit of competition.""

They should bundle games like this with computers lol, saves the trouble of trying to upgrade to meet the requirements.

Who said raw power means no art? That was amazing. Best particle-only work I've ever seen.

impressive, but hardly the most beautiful thing I've ever seen on a PC or console

I didn't like the motives.

Too dark and weird.

Anyway, it's good to hear that PC hardware is evolving nicely.

I LOVE ICELAND!

How did you do the conersion for PC to console FPS? I would think that this would run at least on 5 FPS or so.

It was pretty cool but its not the most beautiful thing I have seen on a system before.

Wow, that was beautful! the flowers were simply magnificent!!

first game on pc to use that technology to the fullest extent will be

the video game. :)
