Yeah, it was really MS worst conference ever... They really want to turn their 360 into a Wii and abandon their core gamers crowd ??? It really puzzles me.

It's like throwing billions through the window, Xbox has so many fans. They risk losing in both core gaming AND casual gaming by going Wii too... I mean there's not a single core Kinect game. Not ONE...

MS investors already wanted them to stop with gaming, I think they'll definitely do that now, unless Kinect is VERY successful (maybe 5 % chance, not more...).

Yeah MS totally doesn't care about its core gamer. I mean Halo:Reach and Gears of War 3 aren't important at all. Also exclusive Call of Duty content for the next 3 years is garbage. Forza:Kinect is also non existent I'm sure I was just imagining that. Also a Crytek exclusive plus tons of big time multiplats are headed this way. All that has been thrown out the window.

Edit: I forgot Fable III. Nobody cares about that worthless game either.

Get it, guys? He's being sarcastic.

I don't care what anyone else says about Kinect, I've been thinking about it recently and I think that once the first Fight Night that supports it comes out I'm there day 1... Boxing the way it was meant to be played - no controllers at all...

As for "core stuff" as long as my Fable 3 and Halo: Reach are still coming then I'm perfectly happy.

I want to know why the biggest game ever done was to x360 and ps3 (CoD:MW2)

Why the biggest console ever done is a Sony Ps2

and why they say nintendo is a revolution? revolution in what? in weak moviment sensors? the first thing that its done was now with 3DS that we even didnt saw someone playing just images

i think that the future of consoles is more ways of entertainment, that is a real move sensor(ps move, kinect and ONLY wii motion plus[in some games]), media player(blu-ray, all formats of pc files for photos, music, films), a place for chat(live, wii online, psn),new ways of video processing(3D) and new ways to play all that stuff (kinect)

the only revolution of nintendo is 3D

Move is only 50 $ for one controller and it has 31 games, mostly core games. Kinect is 150 $ and only 15 casual games...

All people will see is 50 $ Move vs 150 $ for Kinect... Plus, there are Move bundles too.

I doubt Kinect will sell well but maybe I'm wrong...

That's dangerous for Sony then. What you'll get are the not-so-techno-savvy who will buy just the 1 part of Move, and get annoyed when it doesn't work. Or, there will be a big disclaimer saying how you need more than the controller, and so no one will see it as "$50 for Move". Also, could raise thoughts/questions like "well, what else do I need to make this thing work? This is too complicated". At worst, some will see it as deceptive if Sony tries to market it that way.

They won't, they'll market the bundle for $100, and people will see Move as $100. Then, for the people who research into what they'll need to play with groups of people (especially since casual gamers tend to be social gamers) they will see that Kinect Xbox is the cheaper choice.

Joyride, Adrenaline Misfits & Sonic Freeriders say hi...these might not be omg i gotta have it type games to some but I think they all look pretty fun and yes these are core titles they just have a casual appeal as well.  these games are spot on for kinect. It makes sense for them to try to gain interest in the system with casuals and then slowly show more core games as well as some new casual games as the device becomes more known.

How our favorite systems are just like humans and sometimes have issues finding their special someone...

Xbox 360 wants to KinectPS3 wants to Move!  Why are both systems having such relationship problems?  The reason is they both become so infactuated with desire while watching the Wii as it waggles on by. They simply want what they can't have.

Make of it what you will, but the general response from the gaming community including press was negative and I'm not sure that the Xbox brand can afford that right now.

Sorry mate that is rubbish and you know it. The overall media response to it has been very positive. I can show you lot's of links if you like? As i said above the only places where there seems to be negativeness is on forums i.e hardcore gaming forums/websites. That represents a tiny tiny % of gamers. For example youtube. Right now youtube are pimping the hell out of Kinect. It has a gigantic advert as it's background. That means that supposed half a billion people who use youtube every day see that. Which makes them aware of the product.

The people who are pissed are people who were expecting Kinect to be for the hardcore gamers. Every negative report say's the same thing. But when you actually read these hardcore gamers hands on previews your see they actually really liked it. Like as i also mentioned above http://kotaku.com/5565079/my-two-favorite-xbox-kinect-experiences-so-far?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed: kotaku/full (Kotaku)

The negatives are getting confused with the negatives for the conference itself. The showing on screen by MS was poor, but seeing and doing are two different things. Find me someone who has used Kinect and was not impressed.

Yep, you've replyied to the closing of my post, leaving all that I've written before out of it. It wasn't only about the Kinect event, but also the lack of core games and poor presentation. Even if Kinect sells milions of units, the most revenue comes from games sold. Hardware is usually close to breaking even. Go take a look at GAF forums or scroll through last days N4G news. FIrst impression is allways important and that's where MS blew it.

MY HYPE LIST: 1) Gran Turismo 5; 2) Civilization V; 3) Starcraft II; 4) The Last Guardian; 5) Metal Gear Solid: Rising

Anyone that thought that M$ conference was good must be blind. The one had one previously unknown AAA title which didn't even give us any game play or CGI. The Crytek game was the only one. Secondly, kinect will be an epic failure. They're worried about how well it will do so they should therebest games for it trying to build hype. If they announced the price everyone would have just lose interest. report price is $180us. There even talking about having a cheaper one without the motor for $130us.

ms e3 was garbage.

I was hoping for halo wars 2 with kinect integration! And where was a platformer using kinect?

sadface!

As I said in a different thread once developers have had more time to work with Kinect then we will some more core games and innovating gameplay. Turn 10 has had their hands on the tech for only 6 months before showing Forza Kinect. I know its another year away but next year's E3 will be Kinect's time to shine. We already got glimpses of Star Wars and Forza which will both be pretty cool and I will be buying for Kinect. I can't wait to see some more stuff.

P.S. Just the ability to have voice and motion control over the dashboard, movies, music, and ESPN!!! (can't wait for ESPN) is enough for me to buy it. I am excited to have a little slice of Minority Report in my livingroom this holiday.

i totally agree there! the interface control looks to be awesome!

  Kinect! who needs video games!

The Move bundle is $99. Where are you getting this $50 from? You realize you need the PS Eye for it to even work don't you? Not to mention on top of the bundle you would have to pay another $29 for the secondary controller since it doesn't come with it. $129 for one person to play Move (assuming they already have a PS3) vs your hypothetical $150 for up to 4 people to play Kinect(assuming they already have a 360). Whats the cost for 4 people to play with the Move? $369 for everyone to have a move controller and secondary controller.
