Great. Now we're in a developer's pissing contest.

All I have to say is Wii Fit which is almost double the cost of any of those individual games, has outsold them all; even Halo series combined. (global)

Can we just all agree that Nintendo wins when it comes to specific games?

Gran Turismo has sold considerably more software, but Halo still has to be ridiculously more porfitable.

One of the biggest reasons Xbox Live Gold subscriptions have been successful is Halo and we can assume millions of people bought DLC. Also, Halo must be a huge earner from merchandising and there will inevitably be movies.

With Gran Turismo, they can really only profit from the game and hope to sell some DLC.

The GT series has some great numbers but have a look at how many xbox's were sold. there was only 22 million of them and halo 2 sold 8 million copies. That is an amazing attach rate. I dont think you can compare on previous generations because Sony sold way more consoles. 

This Generation would be a better comparison as the PS3 and x360 are fairly close in sales.
