OUCH

1. Its overtracked

2. Sales seem even more meh now

I think shio claimed it was selling a lot on the PC. I don't think it can be overtracked by that much though

@carl

I think they are taking SOLD TO CONSUMERS as they probably know up to date NPd numbers since NPD is out tomorrow & they include digital download sales for PC.

ends Q1 ends march 31st darth I think atleast in that article...that's over a month ago

{checking}

{clears throat}

So it sold:

73K in April, I believe probably like 30K this month so far

so lets say 100K overall

Still overtracked but close to 1.6 Million on one platform, however thats not counting PC sales.

that's what I'm saying is that maybe the article guy screwed up and it's 1.6 and 1.6 though that's a bit weird too.

LIke I mean a bit of it is, is that I really don't want it to sell that low cause I loved that game, but it still seems too low, especially for one that was an improved sequal imo.

According to this site ME2 was already passed the 1.6M mark by March 31st on the 360 alone.

Numbers could still be right though if the PC version sold 0 or if this means 1.6M on 360 and 1.6M on PC.

YOU!

That could be possible, but I really don't think it could sell that much on the PC alone.

But that would make more sense if we also look at the "6 Million for the franchise" figure that was released.

Again you'll have to look at EA"s official press release to see what they really meant.

For the week ending April 3rd...

We had ME2 on the 360 at 1,641,943 sold worldwide.

So that is definately overtracked. By a pretty large amount.

Dante's Inferno was at 478,162 on PS3, 412,964 on the 360 and 56,413 on PSP.

So DI had sold 947,539 combined. I would say that's pretty much spot on.

Army of Two: The 40th Day was at 364,694 on the PS3, 478,479 on the 360 and 86,078 on the PSP.

So Ao2 had sold 911251 combined. I would say... Undertracked slightly. Maybe by 100k between all 3?

EA don't talk about actual sales to customers when they inform their investors, they mean shipped to retail as usual.

1.6 million shipped ME2 is shockingly low. It's hard to grasp.

Dante's Inferno I would of expected nearly 2 million, not less than 1 mill shipped.

yeah, but the thing is that 6 million for the franchise which would of meant 2+ million for PC version would ME2 really drop off that much?, but was kinda a shady website wasn't? So besides EA numbers, because they can't lie. I'm confused.

They are including digital downloads for PC though so maybe they mean sold to consumers, I hope so anyway otherwise its even more overtracked unless you guys can tell me its in short supply in your retailers. (not in my town)

They mention ONLINE sales. This is not shipped. This is sold to customers. They announced it had SHIPPED 2 Million copies a while back.

Even then though, it is hugely overtracked by a few 100k on the 360.

they used "sold to customers" to calculate their marketshare among all the plaforms too, so it's not all unlikely that they're using "sold to customers" for this one too, especially regarding online sales.

I wouldn't rule out 1.6 million on PC, although that does seem high.

where else can we find any reference about the numbers they informed?

the words above were backed by NUCLEAR WEAPONS!
