I used to be in a band that covered Dethroned Emporer from the Morbid Tales album.  Man is that song heavy.

Greatest female artists of all time? Id give madonna the most male looking female artist of all time and also give dion the most uninspired female artist of all time.........but if you consider them both the greatest , then female musicians must be utter garbage in your mind.

People, Madonna and Celine Dion are the best selling female artists just after Nana Mouskouri. They still put hits every album and both are the female artists that win more money yearly.

If you don't like any of them, wich female artists are good in your opinion?

Just an opinion here, i just hate Mariah, she sings well, but she screams to much and is always doing strange sounds while singing. Celine at least stopped to scream a good time ago.

im not voting in this one because its like flipping a two headed coin. Celine Dion is the better singer while Madonna is the better perfomer.

As far as best female singer goes it should really go to Mariah Carey or Whitney. Whitney has the power, strong, earthy, thick voice that gives her a unique sound. Mariah has the light airy range like wind. She has a deep lower register which contrasts her high whistles.

But out of Mariah, Celine, Whitney, and Madonna I would have to give it to Mariah. She writes all of her own songs.

I really don't get Mariah. She is always screaming in her songs or doing those oooh ohh uuom things with her voice. I watched her dvd and she just can't sing a phrase without making those strange sounds with her voice, have i already told that  she screams too much? Whitney is just GREAT, she does the strange sounds with her voice, but much less than Mariah.

Celine had the same problem of Mariah of screaming, but, nowadays she stopped with the reaching notes crap and her songs are much more soft nowadays. Even My Heart Will Go On she sings much better nowadays.

I have no idea what you are talking about, originally I thought you were talking about whistling but since Mariah is the only one out of the four that can't be it. Mariah doesn't scream by the way, she is the least forced out of the four. Whitney doesn't scream at all, Mariah doesn't, and neither does Celine.
