Honestly i havent met a 360 user who pirates games tho they are out there, they just arent a huge group like 10% of users, maybe they are like 1-2 % tops , 400k-800k users

The reason PS3 exclusives are selling so badly compare to Xbox360 is because the the 360 has Gears of War and Halo.

I agree with you on that one.  To some "people," a game is not successful unless it sells like halo or gears which i think is freaking retarded.  Also if you want to know why Ps3 exclusives dont sell like 360 exclusives just look at the right side of Zedex post.  All the 360 has is halo and gears.  Now the ps3 has MGS4, Uncharted series, resistance series, killzone 2, LBP, infamous, Heavy Rain, God of War 3 and MANYY MORE.  Look at other 360 exclusives that DONT sell like halo and gears(like ME2).  And Zedex you say those are the top sellers from the ps3, but WHERE IS MGS4(5m+) or LBP(4m i believe)?

With the exception of Gears and Halo, exclusives actually perform better on the PS3. Once GT5 is released there will a PS3 game that will most likely compete with Halo's sales. I don't really understand how you can say PS3's exclusives perform badly.

Tim likes Yana more than both of us, but he let me touch his 360. I bet you haven't touched his 360, only his filthy PS3 slim.

Exclusive games is clearly selling more on X360 than PS3 but lately PS3 had done lot better.

I mean, Microsoft won the generation by getting to 10m first in the US. They even announced it. (heck, they still have it on their own website - http://www.microsoft.com/presspass/press/2008/may08/05-14360First10PR.mspx ) Their exclusives should have easily sold more if they won.

As for the real answer, it is diversification. If you moved those 4m extra sales from Japan to the US you'd probably see all the shooters rise in sales by a bit, while other games popular in Japan would fall in sales (like Minna no Golf).
