The sci-fi novelist hired by Crytek to pen Crysis 2 has allegedly slammed Killzone 2 Graphics - claiming " What I have seen of Crysis 2 in Alpha Stages, Surpasses Killzone 2 ".

The lead writer has already slammed the two dominant market leader FPS titles such as the well renowed Halo series and MW 2. Mentioning bold claims stateing "I thought Modern Warfare 2 was an immense disappointment," and "Halo Is Bullshit". Halo has revolutionized console FPS and online scene. Both have record breaking sales and have huge fan bases. Crysis 2 will have to be one hell of a game to even match up to Halo Reach coming this Fall.

It doesn't stop there, rumour says upcoming info where Richard Morgan was speaking to HipHopGamer in a Interview , Where HipHopGamer asked the unknown writer Richard Morgan what he thought of the quality of the graphics. Since bold claims regrading the graphics were made by the developers such as " Crysis will hit the graphical ceiling of PS3 " and " Crysis will have the best console graphics ever ".

HipHopGamer - " With the recent talks about how Crysis 2 will have the best console graphics ever, and will hit graphical cieling, Have you seen anything that made you go woow. And how does it match up to the leading graphical titles such as Killzone 2 , Uncharted 2 or God Of War 3 ? "

Richard Morgan - " As the lead writer of Crysis 2, they have numerous times showed me Crysis 2. This way i can visualise the scenes and scripts for the story events. I can tell you now   What I have seen of Crysis 2 in Alpha Stages, Surpasses Killzone 2 " .

With this statement I Don't have no doubt Crytek can pull off the best graphics on consoles, as the original Crysis still remains the graphical king to this day. But Crytek really have not delivered a triple AAA game yet have they now? With Crysis only on 91% Metacritic ( Halo + MW2 Scoring higher ) and Crysis Warhead and Far Cry below 90% Metacritic with remarks such as the horrible scraps of miserable story and melodramatic dialogue. Can this writer pull off a decent story for Crysis 2? One thing for sure his attitude better change or he will become on the wrong side of gamers and degrade the status of Crytek.

I don't really think he slams them at all. In fact he doesn't really say anything bad about them. I would say that using them as a benchmark to try and surpass is more of a compliment than anything else.

You know, every single one of these "slams" or "attacks" are mildly worded responses to questions posited by interviewers.

Where does he slam Killzone 2 exactly? He says his game looks better. That's it.

Kinda off topic, but this "story" exemplifies exactly what I hate about the current state of gaming media. Start with a developer making a fairly benign quote. No big deal right? Oh wait, some shitty no-name gaming site author is going to blow it out of proportion to rile up fanboys. Add in a hiphopgamer quote, some bad grammar, and drivel about AAA games to make a complete waste of everybody's time.
