Does this demo cover the Mall area fraught with glitches?

And is the dialog and vocal delivery just as comical as the latest trailers?

This sounds like trolling.

Have you played the mall area? I admit I saw one or two minor glitches during the video.

I suppose the second question depends on your sense of humour.

No, but I've seen the trailer for it.

Numerous amounts of clipping shown in a near final build for a game that bills itself as being a major breakthough in lifelike characters isn't enouraging.

But poorly written dialog forcebily conveyed via bad voice acting and completely unrealistic situations does tickle my funny bone. Things like a QTE to find money to pay for a $2 balloon, only to hand a clown a 20 and say "keep the change" are humorous, especially given the overly serious tone of the game. Not to mention the whole "jaayyyyssoooon" "dadson" bit and "I can't buy shoes for sean in this mall" crap, and yeah, you have one hell of an accidentally hillarious game. Couple that with the references to such cinema masterpieces as sev7n and the matrix, which the games writer thinks are sublime, then the finished product will likely keep up with the mall sequences train-wrek pacing.

And don't even get me started on the games overexageratted facial expressions and unbelievable animation. Then toss in the graphics that vary between amazing and shit. I think its safe to say the game will veer wildly from occasional brilliance to comically bad.

Yeah, I noticed some of the clipping issues. I wouldn't have said it was "fraught" with glitches though. Had the main character suddenly fallen through the map, or gotten stuck walking down the escalator I would agree. Given the amount of characters on-screen in the area I think it's forgiveable. One of the highest rated games this gen GTAIV suffers from clipping problems and texture pop-in and Dead Rising, also a well reviewed game with plenty of on-screen characters, had it's share of zombies glitching through walls/clothing.

Your second paragraph is your opinion, which you're entitled too. I guess I just wasn't as disconnected, or didn't find it amusing in the way you did.

Yaaay downloading the demo now!! =D

For people who can't get in go to

Notice the site part instead of www

It's 1754MB in size.

Why the hell do they make us go through all this to download the demo? Must be trying to kepe in theme with the whole "detective" plot/story, whatever. This is so bothersome.

the fighting scene was very intense but almost the entire game is gonna be that very very boring cop part

The voice acting is really bad, especially with the FBI agent ( they sound like kids just reading line for line with terrible pacing in a empty room not to mention the women goes from being cooperative to becoming a bitch in seconds which shows that emotions the actors carry out with one line to another is poorly done). The controls and the camera are hard to work with as well. The acting in the demo was just terrible and a big turn off for me.

Got the code but it says it's no longer valid.....fml

I am the Playstation Avenger.

I also got the 'no longer valid' message.

Try making a European account. It gave me a "no longer valid" as well, and I made an account in France, and the code worked there.
