I understand how you feel, I really do. But in all fairness to Square Enix, FF15 does look like a good game. I will not give FF13-3 a chance based on what we've seen so far.
You have to remember Square Enix is a business. Do you think a PS3 game with the name FF13 Versus on it will sell many copies?
No, Square Enix had no choice. They had to change the name from FF13 to avoid the stigma associated with FF13.
Fair enough, we'll give them a chance. I want to see Ito and Minagawa continue, if they did a new Tactics Ogre or something I would accept it. but in all fairness FF15 does look good.
Unfortunately it seems like its not happening. We might just have to wait longer who knows? FF15 does look good. I think the main reason they wanted to change the name is because of the stigma of FF13.
They want to distance FF15 as far away from that game as possible because they know it will affect sales.
Either way, if the dream is truly over, then its over, we will have to turn elsewhere.
Hey whats up man. Shinji Hashimoto was at the PS4 reveal and he said that Final Fantasy is coming. Theres a good chance that means FF15 as a launch title or close, because FF14 is released this year for PS3.
FF13-3 hasn't been confirmed to have a released date, so it might be PS3 and PS4 platforms.
I think FF Versus 13 will probably be announced for PS3 and PS4, like Diablo 3.
Did you hear that Square Enix recently said they want to cut down long development times because they felt it was dishonest. However I'm worried about what they said regarding market localisation.
Anyway I'm away for a week so I won't be in touch until after about a week. maybe. Sony's conference is always on Wednesday or Thursday (I think), and I think Square Enix will maybe announce it with Sony.
I don't see who else could be making this game other than Hiroyuki Ito or Hiroshi Minagawa. Kitase and Toriyama are still on FF13-3 and Nomura is on Versus.
If your not interested in my views, why post on my wall? Why not move on with your life with DMC4, FF13 and RE6.
DmC took me 11 hours on 1 playthrough; and according to Capcom the game clocks in at 10+ hours. Are you calling Hideaki Itsuno and Capcom Japan liars?
And your claiming DmC was 6 hours? But what about Metal Gear Rising, a 4 hour game? What about DMC4 a game where half the game was a repeat of Nero's missions? Is Ninja Theory to blame for that as well.
Your a Nero and Kyrie fan which is why you don't like DmC. But I'm a DMC1 fan, and I don't like DMC4, because it was not worthy of the masterpiece that preceded it. Do you have a problem with that?
I did enjoy Dante and Kat. I spent over 80 hours playing DmC, I've got all the trophies and I'm about to platinum DMC3. I suggest if you have a problem with that you tell someone who cares; I'm not interested in the views of a Nero and Kyrie fan.
Thanks for the link. As I'm thinking about it, I also don't believe all of it. Wada said he wants Kitase to have a new game ready every 2 years.
That potentially means that Kitase's team are moving straight onto FF15 after Lightning Returns.
That being said, Ito has still had unknown whereabouts for the last few years. I think we just need to be patient. Development kits for the PS4 have been available a while, that Agni's Philosophy demo apparently took 6 months to make. I think they don't want to give anything away now, but I think theres a good chance the FF12 team are still working on FF15.
Are you sure? I thought Shinji Hashimoto said the game was already in development and they would announce it at E3?
If you think about it, they can't start development on the game now and have something ready to show at E3, and based on the creation date of the Luminous engine I would say they've spent at least 2 years already in development.
I honestly don't think Kitase/Toriyama will do FF15, I think they will move straight onto FF16 after this.
I think FF13 Versus might become a PS3 and PS4 title now. Like what Blizzard are doing with Diablo 3, their releasing it for PS3 and PS4.
Thanks for the petition. But I think it would be too late by now to appoint Ito as the head of production. Based on what SE said at the PS4 conference I think FF15 is in development for the PS4 and they will announce that title at E3.
Personally I don't think Kitase or Toriyama can be working on FF15 because they've been working on Lightning Returns. After they finish that they will begin work on FF16. Nomura we know is working on FF13 Versus. In a nutshell I think Ito is already working on FF15. Theres no need to worry in my opinion.
Yeah, sorry I didnt get back to you sooner, been busy with something.
Saw the rumours, can't say I'm supprised, since it looks to be an evolution of FF12. If its true that is. Have to say they are wasting too much time with FF13 announcements. Rumours say that FF15 will be announced this year to coninside with the 25th annivesary of the FF series. Hopefully TGS will be the reveal.
It was a good film. I'm personally not that happy Nolan decided to end the saga. He couldve given the reigns to another director, continue the story through books, comics, anime (Gotham Knight). Now the series will be rebooted again.
How was Xenoblade by the way?
About FF13, I'm not saying its bad, I think its above average game, not spectacular. I didnt really see that type of game having much longjevity potential. Which is why I dont think the FF13 series has much else going for it.
What are your thoughts on FF15? (if the rumours are true)
Dead Space 3 is coming this January I beleive.
New comment, other one was getting long. Sorry i didnt get back to you sooner. yeah i think i can connect my laptop to a tv. but tell me which emulator your using and i'll see if i can play it on my laptop first. if i can i'll follow through. i think if i cant a digital copy of Xenoblade, i might rent a copy then see if it works. if it does i'll buy it.
No i wouldve liked to, but i dont have a Wii, i've only heard great things, but i really dont want to buy a Wii just for two games, lol. what were you going to say about Xenoblade?
Tetsuya Nomura has confirmed a secret team at Sqaure Enix is working on a title that will be announced later this year.
the peices seem to be in place for an FF15 reveal from the FF12 team later this year.
