Matterfact why consume non-medical drugs in general lol

Well, our brains are wired to seek out novel and pleasurable experiences.

Do you consume alcohol or caffeine? If so, it's probably because they make you feel good; a lot of people smoke weed or take LSD or MDMA for the same reason.

For a lot of people battling mental health problems and/or horrible life circumstances, drugs also offer an escape from feeling like shit all the time.

I dont consume alcohol or anything that has caffeine.

The only liquids I drink are either Water or Milk.

I dont drink coffee, tea, juices, sodas, alcohol, etc.

There's plenty of other pleasurable things to engage with to ease one's mind off of stuff than consuming drugs or consuming unhealthy substances.

And we seek out those other things too; sex and food for example, both of which can also be unhealthy. Heck, even video games too.

Anything that we enjoy causes our brains to release dopamine which makes us feel good, conditioning us to repeat the behaviour.

Of course we're conditioned to repeat behaviors.

I'm just saying, drugs are unnecessary since there are safer ways to seek out pleasure rather than consuming something toxic like a drug that will have worse effects than over consumption of food or over usage of video games. Consuming drugs cause way more issues long term.

I'm not promoting drug use, I'm simply saying, for some people, the pleasure they gain in the moment is a stronger motivator than the thought of long term health issues somewhere down the line. People are able to rationalize or dismiss the negatives, just like someone fat might ignore their risk of a heart attack.

Gaming is a drug itself. I've been using GT Sport for pain relief the past week. It doesn't relief any pain of course, yet the highly focused online matches do take my mind of the pain a little bit. It's not enough though, I would not wish a bulging disc on anyone and I'm running out of ways to deal with the pain without risking liver damage. The human body can be so counterproductive when it comes to healing. Tensing up from pain is no use.

However a small dose of THC (~5mg) actually made me focus better on racing, not very effective for sciatica pain, but can help to sleep.
CBD oil 33mg makes me feel more mellow, not very effective for sciatica pain
Over the counter Acetaminophen 500mg x2, takes the edge off for 90 minutes, can only use every 4 hours, max 8 per day.
Over the counter Naproxen Sodium (Aleeve), should work for 12 hours, max 2 per day. takes the edge off for 4 hours.
Prescription Toradol, should work for 12 hours, max 2 per day, no more than two days use usually, takes the edge off for 4 to 5 hours, takes an hour to work.

Can't mix and match of course, yet I'm alternating as it gets hard to breath when the pain rises to the max. Fuck modern medical science. I haven't slept much for almost a week now. I'm seeing a specialist ofcourse, yet he doesn't believe in pain killers so no help there. Meanwhile the house is a mess, I can hardly walk, painful to sit for more than a few minutes at a time. It's been building up for a month now.

Lol sorry going on quite the tangent here, need to vent somewhere when doctors just tell you to hang in there and see you next time.Despite all that, my racecraft was stellar! Standing up, wobbling back and forth. Pain sharpens the mind, like a twisting knife.

I got my PS4 around the time they gave Deus Ex on psplus. I got home after a party and was a bit drunk and went to test the game. It was horrible, felt like the worst game ever.

But then again, I've played games like Mario Kart and Smash while(a bit) drunk and it was a lot of fun. I guess the experience you have depends on the game, like when you're sober, so basically nothing changes? Now you got me thinking...

I can see why you might think this way, given your lack of experience with mind or mood altering substances.

But for the sake of providing information, I would like to share some knowledge.

There is nothing that compares to the feeling of bliss obtained by consuming a hard drug such as an opiate. As human beings, we seek out things that give us pleasure. Every single thing you do is for your own pleasure. Even donating to charity can be viewed as something done to make us happier or less guilty (and don't read this the wrong way; I'm not saying that donating is selfish).

I'm certainly not condoning it, but even for someone who remains abstinent with the use of drugs, it should be known to you that drugs offer an unparalleled level of joy and happiness.

By "Toradol" do you mean "Tramadol"? Also, I've always been very sensitive to THC and while I still partake from time to time, it's usually in very small amounts, as it gives me a bit of anxiety. Hope you find something that actually works for your back pain.
