Just noticed the Xbox One version of Arkham Knight isn't in the top 100 for June yet, while PS4 version at 15. Maybe it really will boost PS4 hardware sales significantly.

No one can say PS4 didn't sell 498k... great month for WiiU and PS4, sad month for X1 =]

Hahaha and Nintendo soooo humble not to have a PR announcing such an incredible surge in sales XD

Regie is a great guy. They don't want to mock MS.

duduspace11 "Well, since we are estimating costs, Pokemon Red/Blue did cost Nintendo about $50m to make back in 1996"

Mr Puggsly: "Hehe, I said good profit. You said big profit. Frankly, not losing money is what I meant by good. Don't get hung up on semantics"

Well, at least it's something, and better late than never. 97k does sound plausible. It's only about 1% up from May 2014, while April 2015 was up about 7.5% from April 2014. The initial boost from the N3DS has faded but is still keeping sales after the boost period roughly flat YoY, which is similar to what we've seen in Japan. At the very least, 97k does seem a lot more likely than the 68k that some people were claiming; 68k would, in addition to being all-time low for the 3DS in the U.S., be a nearly 30% drop from May '14, a YoY decline that quite honestly has never been seen in the months immediately following a major hardware revision for a Nintendo handheld (usu. we saw YoY sales remain flat at worst once the big initial boost was over). Hell, the decline from Jan. '14 to Jan. '15 was only 23%, and this past January the 3DS had the disadvantage of people holding off to get the New 3DS.

Anywho, here's all the NPD numbers for the 3DS in graph form, including the presumed 97k for this past May:
