@kamil
Yeah and read it it says 31000 are the new 40GB PS3's, the white ones, 5000 are the older versions, black
The tepid sales of the Wii are disconcerting. I would say that the PS3, and the 360 are making a come back. Based primarily on software. I would definitely not underestimate the other two competitors. Which is what concerns me perhaps that is going to be Nintendo's problem this holiday season. Not that it hasn't been their problem in the past.
They have made no plans to increase their consoles value. No price cutting, and no new pack in offers. They have delayed one of the big three into next year, and the other two have only received modest successes. This while the other two are making wonderful offers to consumers, and have in all honesty some fantastic titles coming. While Nintendo is still milking the cow that is motion supporting mini games. Yes that is what Olympics, and Wii fit basically are.
I hope Nintendo decided to be more proactive. I know they want to squeeze every cent out of their current market that they can. However during this holiday season they really need to shut the other two down, and that is not going to happen unless they are aggressive. They have made it far too comfortable for the other two as it is.
I just see Microsoft and Sony capitalizing on fat, and happy Nintendo being over confident in their position. Thats what the hardware is telling me. Nintendo just isn't budging on their hard line stance, and its causing their console to slide. While the others are making ground. I just hope Nintendo doesn't fritter away this holiday season in the bank vault rolling in money. That would just be sad.
Looking at sales, Wii is tracking ahead of DS and pretty much on par with the PS2 at the same point in their lifetimes, so I don't thing there is any reason to worry
