I recently played Excitebots and the fantranslated Fatal Frame 4. Both games are great and I recommend to import them. However I thought, that it is possible, that there are more great Wii-games out there, which are not localized in Europe.

Has anybody recommendations about games, which will never be released in Europe?

Are wii games region free? Or do you need to mod your console to play other region releases?

Wii games are region-locked. However you can play games of other regions with a homwbrew-enabled Wii. (Softmodding)

The Fatal Frame 4 Fantranslation shall even work on not homebrew enabled Wiis.

Excitebots did not come out in Europe? Oh, great. Another reason to pick up a black US Wii (I was planning to do that for NMH w/blood anyway, don't want to mod my console)

Though, you have Disaster: Day of Crisis and Another Code R on European Wiis, both great Nintendo games and not released in the US.

If I had the possibility, I'd import Excitebots, Fatal Frame 4 (Project Zero IV), Dokapon Kingdom, Ultimate Shooting Collection and Captain Rainbow.

Disaster is not all that great. Lots of minigames, some shooting, with an epic background that is nice to look at but is all about running around and looking for minigames/shooting. I wouldn't miss that game if I could get Excitebots or Fatal Frame 4 for it.

no region free.there's freeloader to stay as legal as possible or as I did recently a US Wii

Yes, we have Disaster and Another Code. I played and like both of them. (Disaster is still my favorite game ...)

Dokapon Kingdom and Ultimate Shooting Collection sound intresting. But Captain Rainbow is japan only ... the language would be a problem for me ... (unless there is a fan translation project again ...)
