Forums - Nintendo Discussion - The Wii (well, the Funtendo Zii) was on The Simpsons!

http://www.1up.com/do/blogEntry?bId=9018400

After the appearance of the XBox 360 and Halo 3 on The Simpsons, comes an appearance of the Wii on The Simpsons.  Interestingly, the "Zii" uses some of the actual sounds from the Wii, and unlike the 360's appearance, can be very clearly identified as a Wii in every way but the name.

Minor pointless complaint: Why did 1Up have to say it was making fun of the Nintendo Wii? From what is seems, it was promoting it and making it look fun.

OT: Nice! They did a good job making it similar. I'm going to see the episode soon on hulu.

i like the idea :D

videogame domination ftw!

I forgot that show was even still on the air. It's interesting that it took this long as one of the most talked about and widely known devices of our generation to earn "topical" status on the Simpsons. They really like to play it safe, don't they?

I'm a mod, come to me if there's mod'n to do.

Chrizum is the best thing to happen to the internet, Period.

Serves me right for challenging his sales predictions!

Bet with dsisister44: Red Steel 2 will sell 1 million within it's first 365 days of sales.

They had an episode... maybe over a year ago... where Homer had his own motel room with both a Wii and a 360 in it. I remember because there was a thread here with people complaining that he didn't have a PS3.

There was also an episode when they mentioned it.

hell yah, homer is a hardcore gamer. Dolt! Oh wait its a Wii.

wow, a Simpsons episode that was a comercial. That's new and original. not. though I still like the Simpsons.

Squilliam: On Vgcharts its a commonly accepted practice to twist the bounds of plausibility in order to support your argument or agenda so I think its pretty cool that this gives me the precedent to say whatever I damn well please.

Bahh South park did this already in 2006... God I loved those that episode..or was it two.?

If it isn't turnbased it isn't worth playing   (mostly)
