Here goes. (completely spoiler free)

General Notes:

- Voice acting is fantastic. Square Enix has completely redeemed the previous disasters.

- Paradigm System is really cool. Allows for fast combat and decent control over everyone.

Vanille is adorable. <3

Chapter 1 - 9/10

I've already played most of this because of the demo. I did like how it starts and gradually introduces you to combat system and leveling, etc.

Chapter 2 - 9.5/10

I'd say this is quite an experience and would be perfect but some of the events toward the end of the chapter feel a bit rushed.

Chapter 3 - 10/10

I love this one. You actually get to see some dynamic characters. It's really great to see. I care about each character so far and none have annoyed me. You finally get a bit more freedom and variety in the battles and characters. Lots of new elements are introduced in this chapter.

Chapter 4 - 10/10

Tons of development, the mission kinda begins anew in a way. I love the fact that everyone isn't just charging to save the world. The characters seem human and act/react very well. Did I mention that Vanille is adorable? Cause she is.

I'm still on Chapter 5. I'll say something about when it's completed. This game is fantastic. I really don't understand the hate at all. It's been exciting and enthralling already despite being in the "bad" part of the game. I can only see the game continuing to get better with the current flow of the game. It'll take some disaster for this not to surpass Valkyria.

If anyone has any questions, feel free. I was purposely being vague and short. I don't want to sit here and type about it all day. I wanna play!

I reckon a lotta the hate is coming from the fact that reviewers are seeing this game as a "step down"...its similar to a 9 year old game, not a 3 year old one (FF12). They do all say the story/music/graphics are fantastic though.

I hope the the rest of the chapters will continue to get these ratings from you & from everyone else.

And remember, your in the "bad part of the game" ROFL!

music is very good, i didn't like just 1 track as now.. but I still miss A LOT Uematsu.. And VA is really great!

They're varying.

Chapter 1 and 3 were kinda short in the hour or so range, but Chapter 2 and 4 were much longer in the 2-3 hour range. Your time will vary a bit, but it's taking on average 2 hours per chapter so far

From what I have seen, basically did some maths from what people are saying

it seems most of em are taking 2 - 3 hours to complete a chapter AT THE MOMENT

chapter length may increase later on

personally though I don't really want to know how long each chapter might be, it'll give me a sense of "oh the chapters gonna end now" while playing the game.
