Basically is a new Pokemon game scheduled for this year in Japan, we don't have name or price. Some guys on GAF are speculating that this game could be DSi exclusive (taking advantage of the camera and SD slot in some way)

I doubt they're already making a new full-fledged RPG, as HeartGold and SoulSilver have yet to come out.

Remember this announcment is for Japan, it takes a year or so to bring Pokemon games to America, so it doesn't matter.

The first rumors about HG/SS were around May of 2009 if i remember correctly.

Platinum was released in May.

So it's possible...

Gamefreak presideent or who ever made this announcement went into a phone botth and came out "Captain Obvious".
