after I ordered it, I noticed that it was coming from China, so it might be shady... I hope not.

It is most likely user made and not made by MS. Which is fine... the only thing missing will be the ability to play Xbox1 games as it won't have the proper emulation software on the drive. there were reports that MS was banning these home made hard drives on xbox live but i don't think its a big risk...

I hope it's genuine... it claims to be "OEM", if it's not, then I will be disputing it with paypal. I'm not risking a ban to save a few bucks. (or even more than a few)

Nope. The traditional FPS players are still on that Modern Warfare 2 kick. Mass Effect 2 is an after thought to them. Especially when they hear its part RPG and multiplayer. Don't get me wrong, it a pretty game but RPGs seems to scare off the adrenaline action gamer. All that reads get in their way of shooting things dead....

And the Sci Fi "fans" who don't have an Xbox 360 by now are getting ready for Star Trek Online.
