Get the phoenix wright series.......its the most satisfying game ive ever played on the ds and the writing is the best this gen.

If you like/play multiplayer, get Spirit Tracks! The multiplayer is kind of shallow, but incredibly fun, and you only need one game card.
Get Layton before Phoenix. Much more fun IMO.
